Sea West (Mandurah Cruises, Rottnest Cruises) secured the prestigious “Seafood Experience” award at the West Australian Seafood Industry Awards held in Fremantle on Friday 3rd May.

The awards, presented by the Western Australian Fishing Industry Council (WAFIC), are a prestigious celebration of excellence within Western Australia’s (W.A.) dynamic seafood sector. 

They highlight the accomplishments of the $1bn+/year W.A. seafood industry, shedding light on its contributions to the local economy and communities. Furthermore, they recognize the dedication and professionalism of the 6000+ people employed within it, who provide some of the world’s finest seafood to local, national, and international markets.

Sea West received its award for their premium Western Rock Lobster catch and dine cruises in Mandurah and Rottnest; these highly rated cruises showcase W. A’s world-class sustainable lobster fishery with warm hospitality, fresh caught gourmet seafood and fine Margaret River wines to all their guests.

It was an honour to accept this award on behalf of our team who work tirelessly – whether on boats, or in our back office – to share their passion for Western Australia, our oceans and our produce with all our visitors. 
We’re privileged to work in an incredible place: our pristine marine environment supports world-class seafood produced in a sustainable manner. This is something which visitors are blown away by. 
This means the fresh lobster we catch on our cruises is complemented by a plethora of extraordinary local ocean delicacies – scallops, prawns, octopus, barramundi as a few examples. We consider ourselves very lucky to do what we do and be supported by excellent suppliers and producers.
